The Journey of Faith: Welcoming Our New Members 2025-2026

The Journey of Faith: Welcoming Our New Members
At St. Kevin's Catholic Church, our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A) The
program is more than just classes, it's a heartfelt journey of faith, community, and
transformation.
A Warm Welcome

Every year, we are blessed to guide and welcome new members into the Catholic faith through our R.C.I.A
program. The journey is filled with learning, sharing, and spiritual growth moments.
Our community stands together in embracing each candidate as they explore the
depths of faith and experience the love of Christ.

The Path of Enlightenment

The R.C.I.A process is not only about understanding the doctrines of the Church but also about experiencing a deep, personal encounter with God. Our program covers four key stages:
1. Inquiry: This is the initial phase where individuals come with questions and curiosity about the Catholic faith.
2. Catechumenate: Here, participants are introduced to the teachings of the Church and begin to understand what it means to live a Christian life.
3. Purification and Enlightenment: During Lent, this is a time of deeper spiritual reflection and preparation for receiving the sacraments.
4. Mystagogy: Post-baptism, this period focuses on continuing spiritual growth and integrating into the parish community.

Stories of Transformation

The R.C.I.A program at St. Kevin's has touched many lives. Each new member brings a unique story of their faith journey. Some have felt a gentle nudge from within, while others were inspired by loved ones or life-changing events.

The common thread that binds them is the transformative
power of God's love and the unwavering support of our parish community.
Embracing the Community

Our parishioners play a vital role in welcoming and supporting R.C.I.A. candidates.
Whether through prayer partnerships, participating in sessions, or simply offering
a warm smile and encouraging words, our community's involvement makes a significant impact.
